The Happy List: Chapter 8

18 February, 2014

1: Sharing hot tea out of a pot. Or just hogging the pot all to myself... because as a devout tea drinker I feel as though it is my right to (and to argue against that would be to deny me of my basic human rights). That, and I have convinced myself that it is socially acceptable to do so. I'm not sure how Jack feels about this.

2: Happy post! I'm still jittery over all of the bills that hit us in January. I know. I'm holding a grudge. *Waves angry fists erratically*

3: Blogs written by these ladies: Gem, Anna and Sundari. I love discovering new blogs to read, my main source of inspiration when it comes to my own is taken from reading other blogs and interacting with other bloggers. Thank heavens for Bloglovin' is all I can say! View more of my reading list here and here.

4: Effaclar duo +. I'm going to review this when I have used up the entire tube. I honestly can not believe just how much of a difference this little product has made to my skin in the last couple of weeks! I thought my skin was a lost cause until this little tube of magic came through the post.

5: Bright pink everything. Bright pink lipstick, bright pink coats, bright pink flowers. I'm not usually a 'pink' kind of person but I can't get enough of it lately. Yum.

6: The Orla Kiely AW14 show. I can't say that I have ever been a fan of LFW, even as a keen shopper I just don't understand the appeal (bad blogger!) but there are always two shows that I make sure I catch up on online (Orla Kiely and Mulberry) purely because they always seem to pull something different out of the bag. I've really enjoyed the Orla Kiely pictures that I've seen popping up, especially. Always spot on.

7: Jack is making me undeniably happy. I know I keep alluding to this 'rough patch' I'm going through but this man makes things feel infinitely better whenever he's around. I also don't mind finding photographs of this rather dashing fellow on my camera (he's my lighting test subject before I take indoor photographs, aha!). Beautiful man.

  1. I love these lists, they point out the little things that make people happy - it's always the little things, isn't it?
By the way, I love your new blog layout (well, probably not so new, but I haven't been around for a while!)

    1. Thanks Tamara! They're nice to look back on when I'm feeling a bit rubbish :)

And thank you, again! I changed my layout a few months ago, I can't believe I've actually stuck to it ;) I might refresh the colours a little in Spring but for the most part I think I'm happy with it! xz

  7. I think you are the third person this week to talk about effaclar duo to me. Very strange. I stopped using this product a while ago, but maybe it is a sign I should re-invest in it hahaha. I really enjoyed your little happy lists they made me happy too. I really wish people in Spain would make more lists as it seems they live their live over here like one big pond full of goldfish that don't know whether they are coming or going. Nothing runs on time and there is zero organisation (sigh). Is making lists really such a British thing? Love from Marbella x www.theblondeb.com
